I ran after Lampton, I had been stupid, and I had to run after him. Whoever this girl was, of course I wanted to know, but she wasn't going to get between me and Lampton. And somehow, he didn't know who she was.
I found him in the stables talking to Remedy with tears streaming down his face.
"I don't know what's going on, Remedy." He was saying. I stayed in the doorway and listened for a while. "I don't remember what happened. I don't know who this girl is but Freya seems to have it in her mind that I do. Of what I can remember Freya is the only one I've ever loved but my head hurts from thinking about everything that I don't remember. Like where do I come from? Who are my parents? What about us, Remedy? What happened?" He then sighed. "I want to spend the rest of my life with Freya. I love her, Remedy. I love her so much"
"It's a good thing that I love you too then" I finally said.
Lampton turned sharply to face me. His eyes were puffy and red but he was smiling. And then he looked down at the journal still in my hand, I looked down too, and then something caught my eye. On the cover there was a symbol, well it was more of a crest. The base was crown shaped and on the crown there was three different pictures. The first was one of a wolf, the second was of two babies and the third was of a lion and I didn't have a clue what it meant. I had never seen it before.
I turned and left Lampton standing there. I went to the front desk and showed the woman the crest.
"Who's crest is this?" I asked pointing at the book.
She looked down, studying it, before shaking her head and turning away from me. Not having the answer I wanted, I went on a hunt for another person. It wasn't long before I bumped into the Inn keeper's daughter.
"Hey, Sweetie." I smiled and she had smiled back. "Do you know what this is?" I asked her.
She nodded. "That's the Princess' crest." She told me. "The crown is for royalty, the wolf is for strength, the babies mean that she is the second child and the lion is for bravery."
"And who is she? This princess" I asked.
"King Stefan's daughter. This is part of their kingdom." She told me.
"But who is she?" I pressed.
She smiled. "You, Miss Freya" She replied.
