"Hear my words, hear them now" His voice rang out on the stage. I just rolled my eyes, I had heard it all before, and I could probably recite the words he was saying. I was sitting on a barrel behind the main stage, watching everyone at work. The twins were getting dressed and into their suits, I never knew why they wore suits when they were covered by a long coat most of the performance. The large man was sitting on a barrel on the other side of the area to me, he was sleeping. He had been up late the night before. The dancers were all in their tutus and leotards and were practicing part of the dance, although they had perfected it and more.

"And now for the main event" His voice rang out. Not long later people started to stomp their feet and clap their hands. As the dancers stepped on the stage the crowd went wild. I grinned to myself, it was the only part I waited for, and this crowd, by far, cheered the loudest. I went for a walk around the park, it was the biggest we had been to, I was sure of that. It was nice, however, to have room to move properly between our trailers.

"Hey look, guys" A voice said from behind me. I could tell it was one of the local boys by his accent and if I had learned anything growing up, I knew never to go near a local boy.

I kept my head down and carried on walking. I didn't want to draw attention to myself. I was just a "circus girl." In truth, I was part of a group of traveling performers. My father, Reginald, owned the business and I grew up living with the performers. My mother had died when I was little but, with the help from everyone else, my father had helped me to become a "little lady".

"Hey, circus girl" The boy called out.

Why was that the only name that they could come up with? Something original once in a while would've been nice. I carried on waking, I knew exactly where I was going and it was in sight. There was only one way in and out if the site we had made and it was just up ahead. For safety reasons we did this, had a fence around the site, because our belongings were inside and this was our home for however long we were staying. I whistled, it was a low one which I had only picked up recently, but it turned heads in my direction and exactly the ones I wanted. Grime and Lime growled when they realised what was going on and started to bark at the boys behind me. To anyone who didn't know what big sissies they were, were automatically disheartened by the fact that they were rather large German shepherds.

"Ah hell no! I ain't getting killed for 'er" One of the guys called out.

I carried on walking towards the dogs, they were safer for me, and there I wouldn't be troubled by the boys.
