With a book in hand You sit in the chair You open the book As you sit there
"Sit down, Children. Come a little closer to me, I'll take you on an adventure With the best things you could see"
They gathered round As he began to talk He spoke of brand new things As the children began to balk
He spoke of houses of old Heroes in armour of gold A place where no one goes cold And where strangers are bold
He told of princesses in towers Locked away for hours And the heroes who save the day Telling them there always is a way
"Now, children, goodbye for now, Tomorrow is a new day, And with a new day comes a new story, I hope you enjoyed it today."
He said at the end of each session, The kids enjoyed it all, It's a shame he won't be there tomorrow For today is the day he will fall ...
