Raining, dark and depressing. That was the day she realised how she truly felt about him. She was talking to him too, laughing at what he said and finally realising that she loved it. "Hey, I've got to go out ... I'll be like half an hour, will you still be online when I get back?" Her hand hovered over the send button as a thousand thoughts ran through her mind. She ignored her head, it got in the way too many times, and pressed send. He replied quickly with a "yeah, I've got nothing better to do ;)" Perfect, she thought. She didn't think about anything else, she couldn't. She put her shoes on, grabbed her keys and left the house. She didn't grab a coat. If she stopped then she would over think it and she didn't want to do that. She couldn't do it.
So she ran.
She had taken that route before but never alone and in the dark but she didn't care. She had her mind set on something and she was running on adrenalin now. It took her 6 minutes to get there but she stopped running at the end of the road and walked the rest of the way, so she could catch her breath. And then she was at the door, her finger so close to the bell. "Don't turn back now" She whispered to herself then pressed the bell before she could think. The woman who opened the door smiled widely at her. She had seen the woman many times before and she knew she was lovely. "I'll get him" She grinned as if sharing a hidden secret then called out his name and left her standing on the doorstep. He came down the stairs slowly, acting like a moody teen, but his face lit up dramatically when he saw her. "Going out, huh?" He grinned but the look on her face stopped him. "I'm sorry about this but I'm going to do something I have dreamt about doing for ages now" She replied. He looked at her closely, not sure what she was talking about. "What are you going on about?" He started to say but she stopped him with a kiss. It was only short and sweet but, when she came down from her tiptoes, she was smiling widely. "Better than I thought" She grinned then turned and walked away.
