I still watched the Queen and she watched me.
"Go on then," She grinned. "Go get your things"
I nodded and ran up the stairs. The upstairs wasn't much, it just had 8 beds in the one room. My father's and uncles' beds were tiny compared to mine, that's why mine sat furthest away from the stairs. I sat down on it and started to think about what I was going to take with me.
I could take all my clothes and some of my books but then that would leave no room for my shoes or I could take all my books and have no clothes.
I settled on most of my books and my favourite clothes, the nice looking ones, and made my way downstairs. My uncles were all crying, for some reason, and it scared me. I had never seen any of them cry before so I didn't know what to do, just gave them all an awkward hug each and left. My father was waiting by a horse, which the Queen was on, and they were talking in hushed voices. The Queen spotted me first and sat straight up.
"Ready?" She asked.
I nodded then turned to dad. I hugged him then gave him a kiss on the cheek.
"Be good" He grinned then winked at me.
It didn't take long before the house was out of view because of the trees. The Queen kept on talking about the etiquette of being a lady but, in truth, I didn't want to be a lady. I was fine with dirty trousers and sticking with nature. Really I wasn't listening to her but she kept on talking and I wasn't about to burst her bubble. She kept looking down at me, from her horse, and every time she did I smiled. When we finally got out of the woods, the light had changed dramatically. It was no longer the bright morning sun but more of a dull afternoon sun. We had been walking longer than I thought. But waiting on the other side of the woods were men with horses and a carriage. They bowed to the Queen then helped her off the horse and opened the carriage door for her. She motioned for me to follow her inside.
We were at her castle within 10 minutes. The sheer beauty of the castle was blinding, it seemed to sparkle in the sun. I had seen it before, in pictures, but nothing was better than seeing it with my own eyes. It was huge too, with a huge base foundation with three floors, and then four wings towering above us.
"Wow" I breathed. The Queen laughed as I followed her up the front steps and into the entrance hall. It was huge! The whole of it was white marble and someone had painted on the ceiling. It was regal but I couldn't help but laugh at the fact they had drawn my family and stuck wings on their backs. My uncles were far from being angels.
I followed Queen Snow White through a door here and into a throne room. The King came to greet us. He had short blonde hair and blue eyes. He was tall and, although I had never met one before, I knew straight away that he was one of the Charming brothers. He was handsome, which he knew, and his smile was breathtakingly beautiful.
"Is this her?" He grinned at Snow White, who nodded. "I've heard so much about you, Ella. Welcome to our home"
I thanked him, that was the only thing I could do, and he started to go on about how much I would love it there. I zoned out halfway through and started to look around the room. I really did have a short attention span sometimes.
