"Who was you talking to, Anna?" The man at the front of the group asked. Anna had never seen him before, or most of them for that matter, but one face stood out to her.
She looked at Charlie as she said, "Myself"
Charlie smiled slightly. "She does it a lot" He said then winked at her. He already knew what had happened.
"Okay," He said, turning away. "From now on if Anna is in her hut then the door stays unlocked" And with that they all walked away, leaving one.
They left Charlie standing in her doorway, grinning like an idiot. "She came to you, didn't she?"
Anna grinned back. "Of course"
"You know where to go" He stated then turned away when she nodded. She followed him back to the ladder.
They both went back down into the mine and Charlie walked towards the collapsed wall. He hit part of it twice.
"Hey, Thad" He called through.
Not long later a muffled voice replied. "That you, Charlie?"
"Of course. Thad, we have news" Charlie grinned.
"What news? This better be good" Thad replied quickly.
"We know how to get out" Charlie laughed.
"Don't tell me Loopy tricked the new guy again"
"Guy?" Anna called out now. "My grandad escaped this place and so will I. Lou came to me and I'm going to try my hardest to find a way to get back"
"This is Anna, by the way" Charlie commented.
"Ah, the notorious Anna." Thad replied then laughed. "I would say it's lovely to meet you, Princess, but there's a wall in my way"
"I will get out of here if you help me or not, Thad" Anna stated.
Thad laughed. "Alright, Princess, you've got guts. I'll give you that. If you start searching we'll meet you on the surface. We found a way out about a mile south from here. Meet us there?" He asked then added, "Where is the way out then?"
"We need to go to the eastern front" Anna replied then laughed when Thad cheered.
"Get there now, Thad. We're on our way" Charlie said, taking Anna's hand, then to her he said, "Ready?"
