His face went red as he double over in pain. Smiling, Anna walked away from the white coats and towards the vessel.
"I'll get you for this" The white coat squeaked behind her.
Anna flipped him off. "Keep dreaming, honey" She called back.
When she got to the end of the corridor, she stepped through the door into a small room. Another white coat stood inside, she unchained Anna then indicated for her to step into the vessel. Anna followed the order, she knew about the hidden cameras and guns, and she wasn't one for doing something for no reason.
The vessel was nothing more than a pod, which held just a seat inside. Anna sat and buckled herself up. The white coat knelt down beside her.
"I've been waiting for you, Anna." She whispered, pretending to check the buckle. "They've wanted you for a while now. I don't know if the murder was planned or not but you're too young to be out there. Just do something for me, Anna. I want you to find a man called Zanpar, say that Vanessa sent you and tell him what happened. He's family, okay? He'll help you out"
Then the white coat nodded and stepped back as the door to the vessel shut and Anna was engulfed in darkness.
"Launch has been activated" An animated voice said. "Ready to go in ... Five ... Four ... Three ... Two ... One ..."
The force of the launch made Anna's stomach flip but she felt she had to laugh because it reminded her of rollercoasters. That was probably the thing she'd miss the most, going on a rollercoaster.
"Stupid judges" Anna huffed. She wondered how long it would take to get to the land of no return and if she had enough time to sleep. She hadn't slept at all the night before and this time she cursed the white coats, but she couldn't help seeing her family's faces when she closed her eyes. In the privacy of her vessel, Anna shed her first tear.
