They stood there just staring at each other for a while.
"You've changed, Charlie" Anna commented in awe. His eyes, which had once been dull and full of pain, were now bright and shining. He had grown a little too, she noticed.
"I've been working out." He grinned then added, "Rick wants to see you"
He held out his hand to her, she couldn't help but comply. There was a hut behind him and he led her there. She didn't know why he held her hand but, by the way he watched her the whole time, she wondered if he wanted to prove that she was actually there.
He didn't knock on the door, just walked in. The hut had just a round red rug in the middle. Sitting on the rug was a man, who held his hands together in prayer. His long grey hair was pulled back into a tight ponytail and his unseeing eyes were pale.
"Sit" He said calmly, not looking at Anna. She did, watching him closely.
"It is a pleasure to finally meet you, Anna." He said then smiled slightly. "I've heard so much about you, the boys never stop."
She looked up at Charlie, who was grinning, then looked back to Rick.
"You have a question for me" He stated.
Anna nodded. "How do we get back?"
He grinned at her. "We don't and you know it"
"My grandfather did so I know we can"
Rick shook his head. "No girl can"
Anna laughed. "Because I'm a girl I can't?"
"Yes" He said then stood and left.
"I'll prove him wrong" Anna growled.
She heard Charlie laugh behind her then he said, "Yeah, you will and there are a few of us who want to smack the smug smile off his face. We'll be right behind you"
Anna nodded, she'd need all the help she could get and she knew Charlie would always help her.
