I was watching him, his hands dripping with blood. His blue eyes were red but no tears were falling down. And his light brown hair looked sooty in the dim light. His face was set in a pained manner. "What did you do, Mike?" I whispered, I was kneeling before him and he just watched me, not knowing what to do. He seemed so lost, like a child. "Mike," I said a little louder, "what happened?" His eyes were wide now. "I killed him, Bri, I ... This blood. His." Mike mumbled. "Who, Mikey?" I asked, urgently. He looked down. "Michael." He whispered. "I killed Michael." I shook my head. "What happened? You are Michael. Mike, who did you kill? Who did you hurt? Who does this blood belong to?" I asked, quickly. He looked up and smiled. It was a slow, creepy smile that showed his sharp uneven teeth. This was my time to move. He'd probably think I'd turn and run but I wanted to catch him off guard so I leapfrogged over his head and ran for my life. The further I ran the more I couldn't see, it got darker the further in I got. I couldn't hear the imposter that had looked like Michael but they were silent. Silent monsters of the night.
I jumped awake, sweat sticking to me along with my blonde hair and covers. What a weird dream. I got up and went into the room opposite mine. Okay, I didn't go in because it stunk so bad in there but I stood in the doorway, watching Michael's sleeping form. He was human at least and sleeping soundly in his own bed for once. "Stop watching me sleep" His voice came as a mumble, cutting through the quiet atmosphere, and making me jump. I laughed quietly to myself then left him to sleep.
