It jogged my memory My memory of the old me And that same old memory of you That cold night wrapped in your warm arms Your jacket hugging me closely The fire burning brightly Lighting up your beautiful face The reflection in your moss filled eyes The feel of your fingers Your leg resting against mine My shoes in the fire, Broken and finished, Yours way too big Keeping my feet warm Then your feet and odd socks The hole in the big toe The joke I made with you The way you told me "I love you" And the kisses that we kept flowing But without knowing We was being watched By your friends and mine They was fine this time They knew the summer was nearly over And I wouldn't see you again

That wasn't true I found you Not long after summer was over And we fell all over again I finally told you the truth "I can't live without you I love you too" And where are we now? Six years later, wide-eyed and smiling We share a little wink As I walk down the isle And your smile grows This time we both know We will be together forever
