My kitty sense was tingling It was like I knew I went to the back door And opened it too
I looked out in the garden It confused me what was there I had a dippy moment And outside I had to stare
Jerry was down the end And Lulu and Stan were looking at me They were both near the door But that's not what took me a while to see
I'd seen it straight away but didn't take it in! Jerry was laying in the mud We didn't have a white cat So I hit the metal door with a thud
"Unlock, Beth!" My hands fumbled at the keys When they started scrapping I might as well have gone weak at the knees
Flinging open the door I stormed towards them The white cat had ran And left Jerry limping
I hugged his muddy form Looking at the clumps of white fur "Are you okay?" I asked him Before he left me in a blur
Thankfully he was okay I had cuddles before doing anything at all And you know that I'm glad I didn't watch him fall
(I don't mean this in a horrible way to the white cat, I hope it is okay, but I don't know how I'd deal with Jerry being hurt)
