I guess you could say that today has been eventful ...
Woke up and we had snow! Snow!! I don't know if any of you have snow? But it has been snowing on and off all day and has settled a teeny bit! But is bloody freezing, which takes me to my second point ... Some idiot put the air con on in our theatre. Bloody hell was it cold! No one came to sort it until like half 12. We got in at 9 ...
Everyone was getting stressed. Everyone. Our teacher left us. Just left saying how he was done. So we carried on with rehearsals on our own ... Not always the best thing with them lot.
I've had eggs thrown at me, smashed onto my back and now have a bruise on my arm because of it! The one that was smashed on my back didn't break and he tried twice ... Super strong eggs?!?
And my shoes? My new shoes are now covered in fake blood, eggs and paint .. The white tank top I wore? Covered in blood ... When I had a top over it too! The jeans? Egg, blood and paint ... Just made it worse because it was wet. Lovely!
I'm so lucky I brought extra clothes.
But now my lips feel sticky from the blood which I have washed off but can still smell ... I'm sitting on the bus writing this (will post when I get in because of lack of wifi) and I probably smell so much. At least I don't have another show until Thursday so I have time to relax, perfect some of those lines and then go at it again ...
Thank you for your support yesterday. It was part of the tipping point. That point was reached today. I'm just glad the guys in my class are sweet and some I hope to keep in contact with after college. But they made me smile despite the tears. (Yeah, I'm surprised they didn't run too!) ...
It's days like these where I ask myself why I am doing this but then, right at the last minute, I'm saved by something so amazing that I have to step back, watch and enjoy what's happening.
Anyway, thank you for your lovely support yesterday when I was having a mini breakdown. The show went well, I forgot a few lines but who cares? Bring on thursday and another show where I'll be bricking it ...
I'll shut up now before I ramble too much!
