As the howl carried on, we expected something to happen. We all looked around expecting something but nothing came and then we heard the patter of paws. Big Bad stepped out of the corridor, grinning. "It's time" He said as my cell door was opened. Fang growled, he knew what was going on, but he didn't do anything. He knew better than to do anything. The wolves led me out and, as I walked down the corridor, I heard the click of the cell door being shut. "So, Nova, you ready?" Big Bad grinned at me. I ignored him as the door before us was opened. "For wolves, you use a lot of doors" I mumbled as I followed Big Bad into the room. I could make an escape but what was the point? I was surrounded by wolves. There lay a stone bed in the middle of the room and I knew I was going to lay there. I did as they asked, I don't think I could have struggled even if I wanted to, and then Red appeared and strapped me down onto the stone bed. "Goodbye" She grinned, viciously. "Let the healer come forth." A wolf called out. "Let him heal her of her sins. Let him make her one with us and them." I couldn't see the wolf talking, there was too many of them to tell anything. "Let us call upon the Great Spirits and let them hear our plea and take back what once was theirs. Let us chant together to rid of sins and drive her spirit back up to them. To where the light hits the mountains. Ho Co Eee Na Fo Fo Fo. Ho Ka Eeta Ney Ney Ney" He called out and started to repeat. It wasn't long before most of the wolves had joined in. "You've got to be kidding me" I cried out. I was tired, hungry and I was not in the mood for this. My shoulder was still hurting still and I had no clue at all where Scruff was. He was supposed to come and get me, wasn't he? He was supposed to save me? But were was he? "You can still get out" Red whispered. It wasn't her though, just the voice I had heard before, because when I looked over to her she was chanting with the rest of them.
Ho Co Eee Na Fo Fo Fo. Ho Ka Eeta Ney Ney Ney.
I wondered what it meant and what it was doing to me because it didn't feel like it was doing anything at all. "Close your eyes and will it with your heart" Red whispered. Will what? I wanted to say aloud. "Will for Scruff to be with you and he will" She replied to my thought. So I closed my eyes and thought about how much I wanted him with me, how much I wanted him near. I knew it would never work but I just wanted to see him one last time.
