I look at Roux then back to Seb. Then look between them again. Somewhere in the world we live in are all the leaders and other adults and out of everyone Phoebe is the one who stayed. And she summoned me. Seb and Roux come with me, both holding my hand. We walk in the room to find Ezra being held back by Ulrick. Ezra's struggling against his grip and, although Ulrick has a pained expression on his face, he doesn't let Ezra budge. I move forward, looking ahead. I feel Seb looking at Ezra then glaring at Ulrick. Roux stops Seb as he's about to pounce at Ulrick. Roux whispers something into Seb's ear and Seb seems to visibly sigh. He stands there defeated but Roux doesn't let go of him. I walk forward some more.
"Yes?" I ask. She watches me, I watch her. She's standing at the front of the table
"You defied us" she says. What is she talking about?
"I've done nothing of the sort. I wouldn't defy the Vamvines, they're my family now. I wouldn't and couldn't do that" I say.
"Well you have and you shall be punished" she replies. That is when I see him, hidden in the far corner. His red eyes watching me.
