I wanted to let it out
Write the moments down
Those that made me happy
And some that made me frown
I wanted to open
My unseeing eyes
I wanted to sort
The truth from the lies
I wanted people to know
How it felt to be there
How I felt that night
When I knew they didn't care
I wanted to tell of times I cried
Of times you made me smile
When I made you too
And you felt like it had been a while
I wanted it all down
Written in a book
I wanted my feelings down
And don't care if people look
I wanted you with me
Safely written out
What if you were a dream?
It'd make me scream and shout
But I opened my eyes
That once could not see
I knew you were right there
Your arms open and waiting for me ...
