The words were written out before me, scrawled in messy ink, but I knew what the words meant. We had all thought that it was the end of it all, especially after last time. Emia was watching me closely, her bright blue eyes burning with tears. She was wearing her usual getup; bright pink tank top, tight black jeans and combat boots. My combat boots, I don't hesitate to add.
"What does this mean?" Emia asked, twirling a strand of her pink hair round her finger.
"What do you think it means?" Caine piped up from behind me. He took the letter from my hand and squinted at it.
"Put your glasses on" I snapped then he turned slowly to glare at me. His eyes had taken on a new colour again. They were now verging on the edge of magenta and his scruffy hair looked light brown in the morning sun.
"I still don't understand" Emia said, which earned a glare from Caine.
"Get out the wrong side of the bed this morning, Caine?" I mumbled.
He handed the letter back to me then went over to the fridge, probably to get a can of coke out.
"So they're saying that we need to be aware of the dangers of the new rules" I finally said.
"Does that mean?" Emia whispered, scared.
"Afraid so" I replied, looking at the paper in my hand.
