"Look at me" His voice was low The words came out deliberate and slow
"I don't want to" But she knew that wasn't true She wanted to stare into his eyes and stay there forever
His hand came out It gripped her chin His touch so light she had to grin
Their eyes linked And hers filled with tears She knew their love would last for years
That was until one fatal day The day her love did pass away He was there one time and not the next
She lost her heart on that one day This meant more to her than she could possibly say But all she could think was, "why did he have to go this way?"
