So hi. My name is Brittany and I go to a public school in the south of hati. You are probably wondering why I speak English. The reason is I am an immigrant from England because my father needed a job that was well paid in a different country and he wanted to turn over a new leaf as he was a bad man in England. I cannot lie I didn't like him being the way he was but I still loved him very much. My father died just 6 months ago and I am constantly blaming my self for his death.
I am in the synchronised swimming team in south Haiti. I do synchro nationally and compete against up to 5 years above me. I am 12 by the way so compete against 17 year olds each year. The next Olympics are in 2016 and according to my trainer miss zapperkini (completely Haitian if that's what you call them) I would make the team the best in 4 years time!! I am really excited! I train 5 times a week. Not training on Sunday's and Monday's is really important to me because if I train on those days I feel I have no holiday. Training is my life practically. I have always loved swimming and being in the water.
I didn't make the Olympics this year mainly because of my age but the judges said I was lacking the x factor by 0.2 points. I was absolutely devastated as you can imagine but in reality I new i wouldn't make it that year any way. Don't get me wrong going there being 4 years younger than the youngest was absoultly thrilling but to make it 1000% perfect would have been to get to fly back to England and serve the contry and throw my dads bad reputation out of the water and into space.
What I would have done to have gone to the Olympics oh good hevans it would have been exhilarating!!!!!! But that wasn't going to happen even if I'd begged for all the money my father left us.
