What is being lost is the magic of the word. I am not an image (tv) person. Imagery belongs to another civilization: the caveman. Caveman couldn't express himself so he put images on walls. ~Elie Wiesel, 1995

Quite true. words are beautiful. We should all embrace the beauty of literature.

We should also know that although TV had been deemed in the same ballpark as smoking and obesity for being bad for you... Think of what has happened behind that picture in order to for it to be exhibited to us.

That show... That song... The theme tune... The script, the characters, we're all somebody's pipe dream once upon a time.

Before we slag off how "crap" tv has become, watch that show properly and listen to the script, the dialogue between characters. It has been written by someone with passion and exuberance for what they do.

That is someone's masterpiece.

We should take note of the magic of their words and not just the "caveman" images.

Here's to the marvel of the written word and may me never forget the allurement of its power.
