Well it all started on the way home from school.

I was walking down the road when I felt something small hit me on the head. I looked up and there in a tree was the most peculiar looking monkey smiling down at me. The first thing I did was laugh as he was so funny-looking with his hair sticking out in every direction - then came the curiosity; his fur was very fluffy and a dark shade of blue his tail and ears the same but orange. Well here I am discribing a monkey when I haven't even told you about myself; well I'm a tall 13 year old girl with shortly cropped hazelnut hair and my eyes are a very pale shade of blue my favourite colure is purple and my name is Alice. Now that we've cleared that up lets get back to the story as I was saying the monkeys smile was so big you would have thought he had just won an Oscar. I gave him a little wave and he hopped down to a lower branch I giggled and he jumped down to the last branch. I had an idea. I unzipped my bag, took out my lunchbox and opened the lid I took out my slightly bruised banana from my lunch that day and held it out to the monkey. Suddenly I heard a crash of thunder then came the rain getting heavier every second. I looked up at the grey clouds and the flashing lightning, I wasn't surprised the weather was all ways like this in Ireland, I looked for the monkey but he was gone so I put the banana down , stuffed my lunchbox back in to my bag and put the bag on my back. As the rain got heavier I forgot about the banana and just sprinted to my house.

I fumbled with the key and unlocked the front door. I closed the door behind me and that's when I noticed that the banana was still outside so I hung up my coat and looked out the window. I scanned the grass under every tree that I could see but there were no bananas. I decided to check the next day after breakfast as the rain was to heavy to see through. This was defiantly not common Irish weather.
