What if... What if we went to the moon?
Just us, my love. Just me and you
We can soar there on the wings of time
I'll be yours and you'll be mine
Once we get there we'll learn to fly
Together we can touch the sky
Leave footprints on the open air
They'll never know who put them there
Make a little house out of stardust pieces
We won't need no deed, no leases
With Martian gnomes in our front yard
And panes of melted sunlight shards
A duvet sewn with starlight strands
Pillows stuffed with Neptune's sands
We can steal fire from the shores of Mars
Catch some moonshine in a Mason jar
We can sail the celestial realms each day
And tiptoe through the Milky Way
Then we'll swoop a little to close to the sun
Or kiss on Pluto, just for fun
'To the moon and back' is what I've been told
But I think in the heavens is where we'll grow old
I promise, love, they won't find us here
So hold me tight, don't worry dear
