The mist covered the inky black water Smoky fingers clung to the strong wooden hull Sailors searched the night trying in vain to find land It was eerily quiet out there as the ship glided through the ocean
A splash alerted the silent sailors They peered into the rippling sea But their eyes could not penetrated the fog
A beautiful song came from mist The light winds carried the song made of striking notes no mortal could sing
The sailors forgot everything The world melted away All that existed was the silky music that seemed to surround the boat
The sailors ran to the railings desaprately searching the water for the creator of this song
A beautiful girl with long black hair and indigo eyes broke the surface She sang entrancing the men Sense seeping away from their misted minds One by one they jumped
Freezing water hit them clearing their minds Their lungs gasping for air Terror filled their hearts
Taloned hands grabbed them pulling them deeper into the void They feeble struggles were no match for the creatures The dark water casting away the light
