A black tuxedo, white shirt, black bowtie. She finally reached the face. The hair hung over his eyes. It was Felix. "FELIX!?" she gasped. He smiled and nodded. His hand outstretched, she took it. He lifted her from the step. A gentle song began to play and Felix bowed to Flo "May I have this dance?" he asked. Flo didn't quite not her head but he pulled her onto the dance floor anyway. He slowly put his hand around her waist and held her hand elevated slightly and they were off twirling and twirling. She felt like they were the only people in the room. She smiled up at him and he smiled back. He brought her closer and her face flushed with redness. Flo stared at the floor then back up at him and he was blushing too. The song finished but they kept on dancing. Soon a circle of guests surrounded them and the Prince noticed. He didn't look to pleased. They finally stopped and Flo looked straight into his eyes. He took her over to the banquet table and everyone else went back to partying. He held both her hands now. "Come and meet me out in the gardens in fie minutes?" he asked. She nodded "Of course!"
"Good I have something important to ask you." with that he walked off flipping his hair. She watched him as he walked through the sea of people. Her daydream was broken by arm broken, pulling her into a small corridor that leads to the kitchens. She was about to scream until she realised who it was. She curtseyed to the Prince and he bowed back. His was looked quite angry. "I don't think you should go to meet that... Boy." his voice was rough "He could be dangerous."
"It's okay." giggled Flo "He's just my best friend."
"mhmm." he sounded like he didn't believe her and stomped off aggressively. She was left with a confused look on her face. That conversation had consumed five minutes and he rushed out into the garden, somewhere she hadn't been for years. She didn't like it much as it used to be very overgrown but now it was beautiful. The long flowerbeds accompanied the moon which lit up the night sky. There were so many stars twinkling and a light breeze was picking up the strands of hair that had began to fall down from her up-do. The long pathway led to a small bandstand and there stood Felix, looking out across the rowa of flowers and tall fir trees. Her foot kicked a pebble that made him turn round and smile at her. His crystal blue eyes were clearly visible in the darkness. They sparkled like the stars. It made her heart pound again. She began to run up to the bandstand, lifting the hem of her gown so she didn't trip. As soon as she reached it she jumped into his arms and he fell back. They both laughed and stood up. He took he hand and they stepped carefully down the stairs. She shivered as the breeze began to pick up and he took off his tuxedo jacket and wrapped it around her shoulders. She blushed again. She walked over to the rose bush and was about to pick one when Felix picked it for her and placed it in her hair. Felix blushed and he took Flo's hands. "F-Flo I um.... I .. wanted to say that..eh.. I l-lov-.." his words were cut off when he was sent flying into one of the fir trees.
