It started with some jelly bears, All falling from the sky, People standing in the street, In wonder, asking Why?,

Lemony and sugar-filled, It seemed to never stop, Raining all these jelly bears, And bright red gummy drops,

They plummeted down from the sky, And flooded all the streets, A never-ending deadly wave, Of cake and shredded wheat,

What to do? We are all doomed, The food wave it is nigh, Spreading out across the land, A massive ten foot high,

Spaghetti strings a metre wide, And chocolate chips galore, Cabbage boiled for way too long, But no, wait, there's more!

Cake crumbs falling, jelly lakes, A sea of custard creams, Engulfing buildings, cities, towns, The stuff of nightmare-dreams,

But then, a shout, as pure as gold, Rings out across the lands, A saviour, standing proud and tall, A lettuce in his hands,

You see, a simple farmer's boy, Came to the people's aid, Perhaps because, the ambulances, All had been delayed,

His voice shone out, so loud and clear, The squirrels, they did sing, About this new great hero, And the lettuce he would bring,

"Be gone, all of you jelly bears, We have no need for thee, Because all of these people, Will have lettuce for tea!"

At this thought, the food cried out, And rose back up, away, The hero stood, lettuce in hand, And there he did stay,

He gave out all the vegetables, To those who ate only cake, " People! You need some vitamins!, To have none, what a mistake!"

And so, the land was saved, From a attack of sweetish kinds, By a simple farmer's boy, With an day-dreaming mind.
