My heart pounded rapidly in my chest, threatening to burst right out. Eliza and a man I didn't recognise, were talking behind a tree, the man making vicious hand gestures. They were planning something. Eliza took the man's calloused hand, shook it, then waved him away, glancing around. She couldn't see me. The mysterious seeress, trapped between two worlds. Eliza laughed then waltzed into the tent. I followed, the bonds in this vision weaker than before. She sat down on a chair, grabbing a drink and leaning back. A desk next to her was scattered with papers. I reached out to one of them, a small slip, with intricate writing on the left. Tilting it to read the italic lettering, I read the words out loud. 'Charles Mason. Assassin.'
My eyes widened, anger welling in my soul. I read on; 'Victim: Morcant Elmswood.' Isadora's dad. Eliza was going to kill him. My shadow wolf, Raven growled, teeth bared, a outlet of my anger. I clenched my fists, ground my teeth. Why would she do that? Unfaithful evil little witch, I muttered under my breath. An innocent man, her husband, sent to the slaughterhouse, just because he stood in her way. Eliza was mad. She couldn't do this. She couldn't. It was wrong, a crime against every law I had ever known. I was so immersed in my thoughts that I almost didn't notice the sharp pain in my head. It spread, attacking my nerves, leaving me convulsing in pain on the floor. Lights flashed underneath my eyelids, dancing, taunting me with their gracefulness. I knew too much. Now I had to pay the price. My hand went dead, stiff as lead, useless. I choked, a thick poison filling my lungs and throat, burning and eroding away at my cells, causing havoc. I prayed to many gods that this was just a side-effect of the vision, nothing that would affect me in real life. A final blow was delivered to my head. Silence.
I awoke in a cold sweat, panting frantically, flailing out for something I couldn't reach. Phillip held me in his arms, Isadora lay asleep. "GYWN!" He shouted in my ear. I laughed silently to myself for no reason at all. I was going mad. "GYWN!!! Please wake up... Please..." I blinked, then hugged Phillip as hard as I could, letting warmth wash over me like a tidal wave. It felt good.
