The elder daughter of Winter, Summer is carefree and reckless. She radiates with a beautiful glow that brings happiness to many. Her auburn hair is short and wild with flowers tangled in it. She wears a golden dress that flutters in the breeze and shimmers in the light. Sometimes she gets carried away and bakes the earth, killing the crops. For this she is sorry and tries to make amends but soon her father, Autumn will make her step down. He takes over and helps the trees recover from the heat by stripping them of their thick green coats, leaving them in black clothes. He cools the land, trying to fix what Summer has done. In his panic, he forgets the plants and leaves them to wilt in the sun, turning brown and dying. His daughter, Spring sneaks around and breathes life back into plants, making them green all year round. However, this activity leaves an empty space at the throne, for Winter to take control. She covers the land in frost and snow, banishing her family until next year.
