A tense game, From start to finish, But soon the UK's hopes, Would soon diminish...

Murray won the first set, He stayed stayed strong, But this winning streak, Wouldn't last long,

Rain fell down, Upon the court, Up went the roof, Atmosphere went taut,

A fighting force, Federer came back, Eyes ablaze, On the attack,

Tennis balls flew, Chants were made, And though raining, Tennis was played,

But in the end, Three sets to one, Unlucky Murray, Federer won.

An emotional speech, Burst out in tears, The first British man, In the final for years,

Well done Murray, Remember, you came second! And next year, First will surely beckon!
