Grandmother Of Mine

A twinkle in her eye,
A prayer in her heart..
She held for me everytime,
Her eyes met mine..

The bangles I wore,
Her gaze shifted to them..
"How pretty" whispered she,
But there was something more..

Slipped the bangles into her hands,
"Beautiful" said she,
Hesitantly she caught my gaze,
I knew what she wanted to ask of me..

Minutes passed by without a word,
But she did not ask of me..
In my heart, her thoughts were heard,
Her desire I could see..

The twinkling eyes caught mine,
"Can I keep them?" Asked she..
With a tear in my eye, "yes" said I,
Grandmom of mine, you needn't ask of me..

You gave all to me..
Now all is yours to take,
And that's all there is..
Sweet grandmom of mine..

May she rest in eternal peace..

We were in my car. And we weren't quite far. It was late October. I can still remember. That night. We were going to the club. But I had been lovestruck. How I hoped for October. As we grew closer.

First Love

First love or first lust It matters not, She is still resigned to imagery not forgot. To feast upon and linger when your loins are old. To fumble in the lonely night to chase away the cold.
