Holding mommy's finger tight, A tiny princess toddled in sight.. With rosy cheeks and golden hair, And blue eyes on a hue so fair..
She stopped abrupt at the door, With eyes wide about to pour.. "It's alright dear", her mommy said, But she shook her golden head..
She sat far from the other few, Glancing around, her fearful two.. Minutes passed without a word, Her eyes dropped and vision blurred..
I smiled and crept up to her chair, Bent down and stroked her hair.. "Dear child, you need not fear", "I am your friend and the others here.."
A smile crept onto her fair face, Towards the others she began to pace.. Crayons and colours caught her eye, Drew a pretty picture as I watched by..
"Look teacher! That's you and me!" "And that's nibbles the cat and there's mommy!" "What a pretty painting" I replied with a smile", And I left her to make another pile..
Hours passed and mommy came by, To take her little princess who answered with a sigh.. "See you tomorrow!" She said with a smile, "Until tomorrow princess, here's goodbye.."
