After a war between the Placeadepts (Plack-a-det) and humans a boy named Kiny (kee-ny) is found in Payette National Forest on his own. Mary Blue, an expoditioner, finds Something special about him but can't put her finger on it. Maybe it's that he is the last Placeadept alive in the world. Now, Mary is trying to reach out to the untrusting, and terrified boy. Will she be able to help him or is Kiny lost forever?
