Shadows surrounding me So much so that I can't see Dark places that bring nightmares I can't make a sound… I just stare.
I walk faster. I've got to run. I want to see the light of the sun. I want to be able to see my way. I want to embrace the light of day.
But my shadows, they have other plans. Around me do they twirl and dance. I shut my eyes but they go there too It looks like I won't make it through
I fall to the floor I can't take any more I scream in agony But no light will I ever see
For now my eyes are open My soul is broken These shadows will not leave Harboured inside of me
I stumble forwards Only to fall backwards The shadows are here And all I can feel is fear
And I sink into the shadow Above, around me and below. I fear I'll never see the light. I fear eternal night.
