Chapter #7
The surgeon is called Dr Dayton and he is going to operate on me, so Nora says. As I was wheeled into the operating room, suddenly everything reminded me of Casualty and blue latex rubber gloves. I was hoisted embarrassingly onto another stretcher/bed however the pain had gone now and I felt a bumblebee clipped into my left hand. ( not a real one, a sleeping maker one) Soon later, I felt myself drifting away.
I woke up again, in my bed in my ward as if it was all a dream, but it wasn't because I was plugged into a drip and still had a blotting plaster on my hand, the type you get after jabs. I decided that now would be a better time to try and call Niall again as I must of been in the operation room at least 2 hours. I still don't know what I needed to go into A&E for though, no one had passed me. I flicked through and found his number which I dialled and waited for him to pick up.
"hey babe!" "hey, um Niall?" "yeah?" "can I ask you something?" "sure babe!" "can we—" "hold on babe tell me tommorow, I gotta go, sorry but I'm losing signal." "oh but—" "love ya!" "mm love you too.." Naaaaw... So I still haven't been able to tell him why I can make it tomorrow. Tomorrow. TOMORROW?! Oh god that's the day I need to re ring him and explain. No no no my battery is lowwwwww. This is v v bad. See, I've lent my charger to Lauren, whose number I don't have so I can't ring her and ask for er to drop it in. I also can't charge my phone! Ah this also means no phone for 3 weeks! This is too bad. Way too bad.
"Can't you realise I'm the one by your side when I see you crying I'll be there for you but so dont let me down oh now so don't let me down." Love that song, Let me down by Jessica Rilles in case you didn't know. I bet she doesn't think anyone let her down. ha. Rung Niall but he picked up and put down. Waaah... Nora came by this morning and told me why I went into A&E. Apparently I have a hole in my heart. Oh yeah? "Got a hole in a lotta things." she says. Does she mean my socks? hmmm. might shout fr dad to drop by a change of clothes. Nora also suggested I try visiting the playroom if I get bored. So here I am, surrounded by the kids who've broken their arm, leg, knee, wrist, collarbone, anything. And I'm the one they decided to cover in play-dough. yaaay. I don't think you should eat play-dough though, because the boy who is eating it now looks a bit sick. he's better off without us really. A little girl asked me to read her the fairy story today. Course, i didn't want to so i just decided to be nice so she could be happy. (She was crying earlier because the princess crown was too small for her head :)
