I dont understand some parents nowadays. They treat their children like extensions of themselves, possessions or accessories. They dress them up with expensive clothes. Choose who their friends should be at the playground. Teach them to avoid the slum areas. I can go on and on at how some parents teach their kids ideas that make this world divided and backward. Parents should give their children tools to go through life independently. They should make sure that their kids have every potential to make this world a better place.
Parents will not be around their kids 24/7 so they must teach their kids how to go through life independently. Easier said than done but no one said being a parent is easy.
Instead of dressing your kid up with expensive clothes why not teach them how to work to get these expensive clothes. Or teach them that its not what you wear thats important, its who you are. Instead of making sure your child hangs around the right crowd why not teach your kids what is right and wrong so no matter what crowd they hang around with they dont lose sight of what is right. Instead of sheltering them from the poor, the slums, why not teach them how to help them and be unselfish. Social responsibility must be taught at an early age to sincerely live a social responsible life without resentment.
Although parents should provide for their children this is only secondary to breeding your children into people who make this world better.
