My job is not on your short-list,
I am an economist.
My grandma thought that I would bake,
I put her right, honest mistake.
A job based on demand supply,
No-one ever wonders why.
Theoretical delusion,
Always fails to reach conclusion.
"we need one here, I don't know why",
My boss is often heard to sigh.
I'll turn up every single day,
Work so hard to earn my pay.
But no-one knows what I produce,
I sit alone, the one recluse.
Until they find a topic dreary,
I'll explain economic theory.
They put the geek back in his cage,
But I don't care - I get my wage!.
