I saw a waterfall
Go cascading down
There were rainbows sparkling on the mist
Dancing on each rounded drop
I watched them go
And thought to myself,
"how much I would like to do that too!"
Tumbling over the top of the cliffs,
over smooth dark rock,
Liquid silver drops stretching and morphing,
Merging with the shapes of others
Slipping along like a water spirit
As part of the fall.
It starts to rain, the heavens open up,
Pouring from above
The green plants all around
Glistening with fresh raindrops
Turning the leaf-mold dark and wet
As the drops bounce off the cliffs and join the waterfall
Becoming one body of water.
Dark sky, a screen of rain,
A watery giant roaring under it.

It's hard making the transition back to free verse after rhyming so much.
