Leviticus 19

19. You shall keep my statutes. You shall not let your cattle breed with a different kind. You shall not sow your field with two kinds of seed, nor shall you wear a garment of cloth made of two kinds of material.

27. You shall not round off the hair on your temples or mar the edges of your beard 28. You shall not make any cuts on your body for the dead or tattoo your self

20:18 If a man lies with a woman during her menstrual period and uncovers her nakedness, he has made naked her fountain, and she has uncovered the fountain of her blood. Both of them shall be cut off from their people

The god depicted in the old testament IMO isn't very nice. He's jealous, hostile and open to suggestion. Despite creating everything he's very pro Moses and his buddies, while smiting everyone else. He helps various characters act in a duplicitous manner, pretending wives are sisters etc.. And he is easily swayed, naive almost. Moses frequently persuades him not to start sending plagues about the place.

It would seem the old testament was written before the idea of omnipresence came about, as god often needs reporting to.

I was taught in Sunday school that the new testament was the relevant one.. All well and good, but how can we claim god is perfect if he had to change his ways and laws after Jesus? Also who/why/when decides what to keep from the old testament??

I've already read stuff from the flat earth society or whatever that the earth was created in six 24 hour days and the bible is true and literal... So are these folk still wearing clothes of one material? Only eating creatures of the sea that have fin and scales?... The list could go on, but I'm trying to keep it light...

The truth is out there..
