Why are churches given charitable status meaning they don't pay taxes? They have many aspects to their business and invest in shares etc.. Yet pay no taxes on their income?
The roman catholic church have paid out over a billion dollars worldwide in damages and out of court settlements over child abuse cases!
Quite a few must be praying for a very large 'eye of the needle'!
This is a huge debate and I've not even scratched the surface. Would be interested in hearing counter argument.
