So many false prophets telling me what is right, How to lead my life and who to pray to at night. Telling me to turn the other cheek while taking money from my bank, Retribution in the hands of a god that I'm supposed to thank.
Asking for forgiveness for all the mistakes that I've made, Prophecies unfulfilled lead to followers drinking the Kool-Aid. Young men leaving loved ones behind to fight their battles, Landing in foreign lands and burning babies holding their rattles.
Does it make the evil that men do less than the devil's plan, Just because it's god will as decreed by a white suited man? All mortal sins washed away as easy as blood in the rain, Young men selling their souls and giving their life in vain.
I see the world spinning in ever decreasing circles, A magician leading sheep and preaching fake miracles. The reason we are here is irrelevant to any one god, Lead a life of love and don't be afraid to denounce a fraud.
