Darkness overwhelms me, I can't open my eyes.

The dead and dying surround me, I can hear their cries.

I no longer feel the pain of battle, my end is drawing near.

I see my loving family, they take away my fear.

I die in the knowledge that I stood my ground, in this unholy war.

Our bravery will never be forgot, we live on in lore.

I die alone but as a hero proud, I welcome the release of death.

My comrades begin a song of victory, as I smile and take my final breath.
