So many thoughts fight to escape His mind befuddled by sanity's red tape

Knowledge is power but too much is a curse Knowing what lies behind man's eyes is worse

Every idea, every dream, every hope Battle it out in a brain that can not cope

The answers we seek are there for the taking We lock him away, in solitude forsaking

Couldn't adapt to fit with the norm Not capable to weather suspicion's storm

He rocks back and forth uttering pearls Muttering secrets lost in foetal curls

Wisdom at a price society isn't willing to pay Another asylum dweller out of conformity's way

If anyone would spend a second to hear They maybe would learn there's nothing to fear

Deaf ears can't find out before its too late Earth is trying but we don't take her rebate

Rainforests destroyed in the blink of an eye So many gone and no one will try

How many plants are still to be found? How many destroyed along with the ground

How many cures does mother nature show? How many more are lost, never to regrow?
