When summer sun was strong and Adams led the dance A step from comic books to dreams of a fine romance

While Kruegar plagued my nightmares and Pinhead tore soul apart You haunted my daydreams and claimed a piece of my heart

Ghetto blaster on my shoulder, Maiden on my back Wanting your attention, singing Back in Black

Cut off denim jacket, leather underneath Patches of Twisted Sisters and Man-O-War beneath

A quick kiss and quicker pulse, never gone from thought A happy heart and confidence, lapped up all you taught

Summer waned and hearts were broke but could we ever know That summer was the door to adulthood that made us want to grow

I often think about those weeks and the never ending days I see us both in older faces, changed but the same in many ways

I hope you found the one, as I did thanks to you Our summer still makes me smile when I'm feeling blue.
