Do you like a challenge?
Well then grab your pen...or keyboard...or tablet!
One of my favorite facets of Opuss is all the fun, and at times difficult, writing challenges that are hosted by the various members. Inspired by all of your efforts, I have decided to develop a challenge of my own.
I'm going to call it the #communitystory and here's how it will work:
Later today I'm going to post chapter one of a short story. Your challenge will then be to write chapter two. I'll pick my favorite entry from the submissions and the ball will be tossed to them. Then we'll all write submissions for chapter three and the writer that was selected as the chapter two winner will select the winner for chapter three, and so on...
Hope that makes sense.
Finally, since this is a community story there will be no limitations on where you as the writer want to take it. Feel free to add or kill of characters as you see fit. Just make sure that whatever you write flows with the chapter before yours!
Since I have no idea how this will be received let's start with a six chapter story. If, however, the story gets good we can always extend that!!
The submission window will be one week. So every Tuesday a winner will be picked and the next chapter will begin.
