Have you ever cried without shedding a tear
A heart that feels too heavy - almost more than you can bear
Songs on the radio rip you all apart
Fighting hard to look so strong - to hide your weeping heart
Void of signs or symptoms you slowly fade away
As you lie awake in bed defeated by the day
Things outside are chaos and your life is such a mess
It comes at you from every side - in every way you're pressed
You trip and fall and can't get up - your "friends" are not around
On the outside you look free but inside you are bound
Screaming out with all your might - your mouth it makes no sound
And though your body doesn't move your mind spins round and round
It doesn't even make much sense as your heart inside you falls
You feel imprisoned in your mind - trapped inside your walls
You wish that you could run away to some secret hidden place
Now the tears come to your eyes so you stand up and pace
Sleep stays far away from you - your heart burns like a fire
Why won't it all just go away - it's all that you desire
Falling, failing, breaking down you're running out of hope
Running out of reasons to find a way to cope
Nothing that you try to do makes your life seem clear
So your heart cries silently but your eyes don't shed a tear
