Unaware of what lurked in the darkness She gathered her supplies Her bow, her blade, her amulet And a torch that never dies
She left behind her caravan Guess they weren't so brave Armed, prepared, and all alone She stepped into the cave
The cracking sound of breaking bones Underneath her boots The smell of death and rotten flesh Chilled her to her roots
As she traveled through the darkness The truth became quite clear To gain the treasure that she sought She'd face her greatest fear
The evil dragon Blackheart Most feared of all dark beasts Villain that had changed her life Her family left deceased
The fire of her vengeance Grew stronger than her fear As the sound of Blackheart breathing Told her she was near
The lair of the wicked dragon Was a massive treasure room In amongst the gold and gems The giant monster loomed
She reached into her quiver And drew an arrow for her bow But the dragon's scaly armor Proved stronger than the blow
She dropped the useless weapon And clutched her trusty blade Rushing at the angry dragon Alive and unafraid
Breathing streams of fire From between its steely jaws Charging, grabbing, slashing With its piercing razor claws
With a fierce and mighty swipe It knocks her to the floor Pinning her against the ground With a terrifying roar
Disarmed and defenseless She thinks she's lost the fight But she doesn't know the power Of the Amulet of Light
The amulet she's wearing Begins to heat and glows Blackheart screeches rushing back There's something that he knows
From the ancient mystic amulet Comes a beam of violet light Slicing through the dark antagonist And winning her the fight
As Blackheart falls before her The violet light begins to fade And the dragon's golden treasure Is left for her to raid
But despite the endless wealth That she carries from the cave And the stories that are spread of her: The hero strong and brave
The tales of the dragon's treasure That drove her to the cave were wrong Because her Amulet of Light Was the greatest treasure all along
