A Clash of Kings by George RR Martin (sometimes unfortunately referred to as CoK) is, as I said in a previous Opuss, the book I'm currently reading. I'm snailing through it at a pace of about 30-40 pages a day (and that's quite fast for me!). It is very good, but very weighty, and often requires a great deal of concentration to understand what is going on, especially if it's been six months since you've read the last one (like me) and have forgotten half of the characters. It is rather helpful in reminding you things in many places, but I did get Edmure and Brynden "the Blackfish" Tully mixed up for a while, and you need the appendix for A Game of Thrones [GoT] (the prequel) to clarify this as their house isn't in the appendix for CoK but I didn't think of that at the time! I want to get it read as soon as possible, so I can begin reading some of my stuff for school and maybe other stuff [see my earlier Opuss 'Summer Reading']
P.S. If you haven't read A Song of Ice and Fire, this Opuss may make little sense to you. To fix this, either read the series (I'm on book 2) or ignore everything you didn't understand in this Opuss entirely!
