So far I am halfway through Theon Greyjoy's first chapter, being 162 pages in. My new favourite character who isn't a PoV character is Salladhor Saan, the Lyseni pirate and friend to Davos Seaworthy.
Some news for A Song of Ice and Fire fans (well, I say news. You've probably already heard about it.) :A new book of posters by Jonathan Roberts based on Martin's own hand-drawn maps is coming out in September in the US and November in the UK, meaning I will have to wait a little longer because I don't want to import it. It's all official stuff, with Mr Martin breathing down Mr Robert's neck to male sure all the details are correct, probably, and it's not some crappy fan-made thing. Karen Wynn Fonstadt did an Atlas of Middle Earth which is the sort of fan-made thing I'm talking about (although Ms Fonstadt did do a fantastic job, but not everyone would.) So, there will be some more detailed art versions of the maps in the books, but still brilliant, but more brilliant still are some brand new maps! Look it up for more details. It does look great. As you can probably tell, I'm incredibly excited!!!!
November will be very mappy for me, as Terry Pratchett has a book called the Streets of Ankh-Morpork coming out which will be great as well. So yes! That's all good. :D
