I was quite staggered this morning when I found I had gone DOWN in the ranking charts. It's supposed to go the other way! I suppose my fantasy novel has taken a bit of a priority over my Opuss writings, but if you ever want to hear more about said novel, you better help me go up!
Only joking. You obviously don't have to, I'm just wallowing in self pity. But sometime I have to question those above me. There seems to be a strange reverence for poets in Opuss Land. Yes, poetry is glorious, but some of it really is sentimental twaddle. I write the occasional poem from time to time, and I have a certain fear of it being bad. But I spent a long time thinking about them, and believe me I'll spend a good deal more before it ends up on here! But the thing is, I don't want to read another toshy love poem, or some one-dimensional utter drivel about changing seasons when people claim to have a connection to nature but spend their days on computers burning trees (indirectly, of course.) but before I get too bitchy, I'll leave it there. I hope you see my point, and take on board what I said. I love poetry, but give it some thought please, and make it good! ;)
