Im talking real historians. As in professionals. Or someone who knows an awful lot. (I know a fair bit, but not everything!)
I know that Egbert Winchester was the first king of England, but he's not mentioned in Peter Ackroyd's Foundation or in the Anglo-Saxon chronicles. Why is this? He doesn't appear anywhere!
