Chapter 2 :::
I turned around so I was looking at the huge, flat screen TV that was towering above me. On the screen were police officers, firemen and ambulances.
They were all stood out side Ebony Hill... Where Lola went.
I ran back over to Kendal, leaving my place in the line.
I held his hand and only then, did I realise how sweaty my hand was.
Once again I looked up at the TV. My mind was flooded with possibilities.
Then it hit me. She had done 'The Switch'.
She had stolen the most expensive and exquisite necklace ever made. It was diamond in crested, had 24 carat gold and was super sparkly! People say even the queen couldn't afford it...
In its place she had put a bomb. A real bomb. But her plan failed. She hadn't managed to get out. This meant that she was in hospital. Maybe dead. But she couldn't be.
I was feeling really jumpy and was spinning circles around Kendal.
"Chill, baby," Kendal soothed holding my shoulders.
"I can't! I can't! I can't!" I cried.
I looked back up to the TV.
"There were several casualties including 3 dead sales assistants and the manager. Firemen are looking as hard as they can to find bodies, stay tuned for the weather," the reporter smiled.
So Lola hadn't even been found!
I began to get dizzy and couldn't stand up straight. I passed out hitting my head on the table and the tiled floor. I saw blood as I fell- and lots of it...
