When Poppy Met Peter

Chapter 15 ~

"Yes I'm pregnant, Peter," I whispered.
"WHO WITH!" screamed Peter. Haha! Idiot!
"You!" I laughed.
"Oh," he sighed. I got up and he wrapped his arms around my waist.
7 MONTHS LATER •

I was beginning to get huge now- too huge for one.
"Maybe I should see a someone like a midwife or a nurse?" I asked.
"Why don't you go and see the midwife and then we can go shopping for clothes for the baby- or possibly babies?" suggested Peter.
"Ok!" I smiled. I hopped into the car and we drove off...
When we arrived at the clinic, we were greeted by a friendly lady dressed in dark clothes.
"Oh hello. Have you booked an appointment?" She asked as she sat down at a desk in the corner of the waiting room.
"No sorry," I whispered nervously.
"Oh that's fine," she smiled, "can I ask your name?"
"Sure. Poppy, Poppy Marks," I replied.
"Not for long," Peter grinned.
"What?" I asked.
"Poppy Marks, will you marry me, Peter Sanding?I love you so much it's not possible and I need us to take this to the next level!" I smiled.
"I don't know what to say. In fact there's nothing I can say except for YES!" I squealed.
"Wow! Good on you lad!" shouted a doctor appearing from a room.
"Oh hello Sir!" exclaimed the lady at the desk. She had a quite word him before he said loudly.
"I really do understand Sheila! Can you follow me please Miss Marks," asked the doctor politely.
"What seems to be the issue?"
"Well im 7 months tomorrow and I'm massive!" I said.
"Ahhh!" he got up and strode to the door, "Sheila!" she obayed and came straight away.
"Can you do a scan on Miss Marks?" he asked. She nodded and set to work.
"This may be cold," she smiled rubbing the gel on my huge stomach. I laughed. Peter was outside because he couldn't stand doctors rooms! I heard him speaking to the doctor.
"A very pretty lass, that Poppy is Mr Sanding. Your very lucky!"
"Mmm I know!"
"Ohh. Well there's one," Sheila exclaimed pointing to a little head, "there's two," she exclaimed pointing again," and- wait... Well there are three, but the third is very small so I don't know what's going on there."
"Will it be ok?" I asked worried.
"I think so but for know we don't know," she smiled I got a card with the scan on, it also had on my due date and my next hospital appointment. I waved and walked to the car with Peter.
"Soo?" he asked.
"Three! But one is tiny so I don't know about that one..." I whispered.
"Great!" he laughed hugging me.
"I'm tired," I moaned.
"Ok we can drive home and then I'll take you shopping tomorrow," Peter smiled. He kissed my head and began to drive. When we arrived home I went upstairs and went to sleep.
"Three," I whispered to my stomach. I slept for ages!
"Poppy," whispered a familiar voice.
"Aunt Melina?" I asked.
"Yes it is love!" she exclaimed sitting on my bed.
"Why are you here? I mean I'm glad your here but why come now?" I asked.
"Well, Peter told me about the baby-"
"Babies actually. There are three," I corrected.
"Babies and I had to come!" she exclaimed.
"I'll get back dressed and take you out for dinner, ok?"
"Sure, I'll pay!" she smiled.
"No!" I said. She left and I put on a flowing dress, makeup and sandals.
"Gorgeous!" shouted Peter putting his arm round me as I came down the stairs.
"Thanks," I whispered. I explained the dinner plans and we went.
"Mmm!" I exclaimed looking at the menu of our local pub.
"I know! Nicer than Florida!" she laughed.
"Well there's no fast food here at all!" Peter said.
"How can I help?" asked a young waitress. We ordered and she went on her way. 20 minutes passed and we got our food. I was about to dig in, when a sharp pain hit my side. I tried to ignore it but then it came a lot harder on both sides. I grabbed Peters hand.
"Baby number 1 is on its way!"
